Sensei Joe Herreman
Head Instructor
Dynamic Martial Arts of Sioux Falls
Sandan (3rd Dan)
Joe began his study of the martial arts in 1999 under the head
instruction of Shihan Julio (Mutch) Usera at the Rapid City YMCA.  After
graduation from high school, Joe moved to Brookings, S.D. to pursue a
degree in biology and education.  At that time, Joe received permission from
Shihan Usera to begin teaching Jujitsu through the college.

In December of 2001, Joe founded Dynamic Martial Arts of Brookings with
one student.  During his five years in Brookings, Joe grew DMA of Brookings
into a thriving martial arts program with the assistance of Dr. Thomas
Shaffer, a fellow Black Belt from another style of Jujitsu.

After graduation, Joe moved to Sioux Falls, S.D. for work, but continued to drive to Brookings three times a
week for training.  Then in the fall of 2007, Joe made the decision to move DMA of Brookings to Sioux Falls.
Dynamic Martial Arts of Sioux Falls opened its doors on September 1st of 2007.

Joe is currently living in Sioux Falls with his wife Ann, where he continues his work in eduducation and tthe
martial arts.  Joe remains an avid competitor and promoter of the martial arts, participating in tournaments,
putting on seminars, and teaching self-defense classes.
