Sensei Boone began training in 1991 while attending Black Hills State University at the Spearfish
Jukite Jujitsu School of Self Defense under Master Jef Rice (4th Dan). Ross received his Shodan (1st
Dan) in 1997 and opened his own school in Sturgis at that time. In 1998 he moved away from Sturgis
for work, returning to the region in 2000 to take over head instruction of the Spearfish Jukite Jujitsu
School. In 2002, Sensei Boone received his Nidan (2nd Dan) from Shihan Julio Usera. In 2004 he
moved to Sioux Falls for work once again, where he took on the roll of assistant instructor at Dynamic
Martial Arts of Sioux Falls.
